The Community Police Team deal with long term problem solving in the Soho community.
 
The team comprises a sergeant and six constables, one of whose prime role is as a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) liaison officer.
 
Two constables are assigned to each of the three local beats. This continuity ensures that people can get to recognise and know their local community police officers.
