Westminster Advocacy Service
for Senior Residents

Westminster Advocacy Service for Senior Residents (WASSR) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1993 with the mission of providing trained advocates to enable all older people over 60 in Westminster to express choices about matters affecting their everyday lives and to achieve a better quality of life.

WASSR provides trained advocates who visit older people in their homes and work with them to enable them to deal with a wide variety of problems. These can include, accessing health and social services, resolving housing issues, negotiating with landlords and neighbours or simply getting information that they need on care, taxi cards or shopping services.

Westminster Advocacy Service for Senior Residents also runs an advocacy service specifically for older people with dementia.
